PRO STREET SHOOTOUT

THE FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT OF EVERY MONTH THRILLS WITH A SHOW OF SHEER SPEED AND ACCELERATION AS THE PRO-STREET SHOOTOUT STORMS INTO THUNDER VALLEY .  COME BE A PART OF  THE ACTION AS  STREET CARS AND HOT RODS FROM ALL OVER OKLAHOMA AND KANSAS SCORCH THE PAVEMENT.

 2012 RACE DATES

April 6  May 4  June 1  July 6  August 3 September 7 AND  October 5

Permanent numbers required for all participants.  Courtesy staging will be encouraged.    Staging duel will result in both cars being disqualified. If disqualified, racer will lose points and monies.

ALL CARS MUST PASS NHRA and TRACK’S TECH INSPECTION.    FOR ADDITIONAL CAR AND DRIVER SAFETY QUESTIONS/CONCERNS,  REFER TO NHRA SAFETY RULES.

OUTLAW DOOR-SLAMMER, OUTLAW B FIELD/KOV will use a .04 pro tree     

    ** QUICK STREET, REAL STREET and TRUE STREET will use a .05 pro tree**

Pairing for  KOV, QUICK STREET , REAL STREET and TRUE STREET Classes will be random - drawn by cards.   Bye run for first round will be determined by the closest to the index during the second round of qualifying.  Bye runs for all other rounds will be determined by the best non-red reaction time in the prior round.  Racer may receive only one bye run until every other racer has received a bye run.                        

Pairing for OUTLAW DOOR-SLAMMER  and  EXTREME 10.5 STREET will be on Pro Ladder. Alternates will be used for first round only.  A new ladder will be created with the first alternate taking the place of the number 8 qualifier.  The ladder will be finalized at 9:15 pm.

TWO ROUNDS OF QUALIFYING WILL BEGIN AT 7:30PM AND 8:30PM (no make-up if you miss your call) ELIMINATIONS WILL BEGIN AT 9:30PM

There will be two qualifying rounds at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm - no qualifying make-ups if you miss your call.  Eliminations to begin at 9:30pm.  Qualifying and eliminations will run in the following order Outlaw,  KOV, Extreme 10.5 Street, Quick Street ,   Real Street and True Street class.  Please listen for your class to be called.  When the fifteen minute call is made, it is fifteen minutes to actually running not fifteen minutes to come to the lanes.  Tune your radio to 89.9 so you won’t miss the announcements.

 

GENERAL RULES

All classes and cars will adhere to the safety Rules and regulations as provided by the National Hot Rod Association. That is, they MUST be NHRA legal for ET and M.P.H (including NHRA license and chassis certification where required).  If not safe the car will be disqualified, and no points or monies will be earned for that night.

The racer must break the starting line beams under own power in order to earn round money or points.

ALL CARS , (Except for OUTLAW  AND EXTREME 10.5 STREET) MUST HAVE:

Tags
Doors
NO lettered or decaled race cars, or tow vehicles

OUTLAW DOOR-SLAMMER

 THIS CLASS WILL BE RUN WITH AN 1/8 MILE FINISH LINE

This class is limited to full bodied, self-starting cars.  Both doors must be functional inside and outside.  No one piece bodies. No funny car bodies.   Driver must sit on left side of car.  (ie. No altereds, dragsters, or street roadsters).  No weight requirements.  To qualify for this class, car must run a minimum of 5.80 1/8 mile ET.

Eight car qualified field. Pro ladder will be used.  Alternates will be used if a 1-8 qualifier is unable to make first round.  First round only, and a new ladder will be produced placing the alternate in the 8th qualifier place.  Please let the tower know as soon as possible if you can not make first round! Ladder will be finalized at 9:15p

KING OF THE VALLEY

 THIS CLASS WILL BE RUN WITH AN 1/8 MILE FINISH LINE

This class is limited to full bodied, self-starting cars.  Both doors must be functional inside and outside.  No one piece bodies. No funny car bodies.   Driver must sit on left side of car.  (ie. No altereds, dragsters, or street roadsters).  No weight requirements.  Cars running faster than 5.30 in eliminations will be disqualified. Times will be shown on the scoreboard for the class in qualifying or eliminations. No electronics, however transbrakes ARE allowed.

All run. Random pairing, so please line up in all three lanes during eliminations.

EXTREME 10.5  STREET  

WEIGHT:    Minimum weight requirement 3000 lbs.

FRAME AND SUSPENSION: Stock frame rails must remain in stock location. Rear frame rails may be notched for tire clearance. No aftermaket 4 links allowed.  Bolt in front suspension components only.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION:   OEM Trans only! No Lenco or clutchless transmissions allowed.   Any single power adder allowed.

MUFFLERS:     Mufflers required. (No collector inserts)
TIRES:  29.5x10.5 max tire size. No W tires. Drag radials are permitted. Hoosier part#
> 18192 will not be permitted.
LIGHTS:    Must have working head lights and taillights.
> - Must have factory appearing interior.
>  No wheely bars allowed

EXTREME 10.5 STREET is limited to eight car qualified field.  Pro Ladders will be used. No deep staging allowed.

THIS CLASS IS RUN ON A 10.50 INDEX.   ALL CARS MUST BE STREET LEGAL , TAGGED AND INSPECTED. Five tenths pro tree.  Random pairing. 

No Electronics (NO transbrakes allowed)
Insurance Verification, Tag required

ENGINE: Any automotive engine is permitted.
EXHAUST: All automobiles must be equipped with street type exhaust including mufflers.
INDUCTION: Any induction type is permitted.
TIRES: No limitation on tires. 
LIGHTS:   All cars must have functional headlights and taillights.  .

Minimum 16 car count for full payout, otherwise 80% payout

REAL STREET
THIS CLASS IS RUN ON A 12.00 INDEX.    ALL CARS MUST BE STREET LEGAL , TAGGED AND INSPECTED. Five tenths pro tree.  Random pairing.
