RAIN-OUT POLICY AND PROCEDURE: It will always be the goal of Thunder Valley Raceway Park to conduct events according to schedule. However, rain and other inclimate weather can play a drastic role in the production of an event. Should there be a substantial chance that an event will never get started due to rain or inclimate weather, we will make every effort to inform the public that we will not be opening that day. We have a user friendly automated phone system that will contain information concerning event status. If rain or inclimate weather begins after the gates open, we will not cancel an event until there is no time in the day left to dry the track, provide for one time trial run and complete elimination's at a reasonable hour. Should rain halt an event after elimination's begin, each driver in attendance that day will be given the points. However points will only be awarded if the entire round of elimination's has been completed. If the round is incomplete, no cars/ drivers will receive points for that round. For example, if there are 14 pairs in round three, and only 13 pairs run, and the last pair is barred from running because of rainout, no cars will receive points for that round. Only if all pairs/cars are run for that round will points be awarded.

Thunder Valley reserves the right in the event of rainout to either call the race and re-run the entire race at a future date. The other alternative that Thunder Valley may exercise is to call the race complete, and split the purse among the remaining competitors in the class. If this second alternative is chosen, then the racers eligible to share in the purse will be determined by looking at the last fully completed round. Thunder Valley will do everything possible to complete the round. If however round six has been completed, and three pairs have been run in round seven all cars that have advanced to round seven will be eligible to participate in the purse.

If it rains after the first round has been completed, the losers will not receive their entry back, regardless if they have bought back into second round.  They will receive credit for their buy back only not their entry fee.

Rainout will also be called if other circumstances exist that bar the running of the race ; i.e. computer failure. generator failure... There will be no cash refunds. Rain checks only will be given out.

One (1) time trial - (admission price spectator ticket) x 50%

Two(2) time trials - admission price spectator price x 25%
